| Connection name | The user-defined name of the connection which is used in the connection list on the left side. Should be unique. |

| Timeout | The timeout for the database connection in seconds. The value 0 sets the timeout to unlimited, i.e. the database will wait infinitely. |
For connections to Microsoft SQL Server databases, there is also the option to use the automatic authentication of the Windows operating system. You can check the checkbox to enable this option. User and password field can be left empty when Windows authentication is used. You can save the settings by clicking the in the toolbar on top of the dialog.
